CostelHostel is situated in the village of Rosu, in the south of the Republic of Moldova. Just 5 kilometers away is Moldova’s third-largest city, Cahul. Costelhostel not only offers a great, local Moldovan experience, but is the perfect stopping point for those traveling to or from Bucharest or Chisinau.

Rosu’s villagers are typical Moldovans warm and friendly, and happy eager to converse with visitors. They are quick to share a glass of locally produced wine, in exchange for the chance to hear your story. Their homes are decorated with traditional folk-air motifs, and they drink from water wells just as elaborate as their homes.

Nestled in the quiet heart of Rosu, CostelHostel overlooks the surrounding countryside and its vineyards. Owner Constantin is passionate about Permaculture and maintains a beautiful garden from which he picks the freshest ingredients for the traditional Moldovan meals that he can prepare on request. CostelHostel is housed in a cozy Moldovan house that offers you comfortable private bedrooms, free WiFi, and a modern kitchen and bathroom. Besides there is traditional summer shower and toilet located outdoors.

Constantin is the consummate host who is eager to show you the best that the region has to offer including traditional Moldovan dishes, wine tasting, honey production, and visits to schools and community programs. On request, he can cook traditional dishes such as Mămăligă or prepare hearty, fresh salads.

Come and experience the beauty and culture of Moldova at CostelHostel!
